“I remember going for small day hikes and car rides in the country with my father growing up. My brother and I exploring, swimming and fishing at the local creek. As a kid I was always outside, climbing trees and walking through the woods in the winter.
As for my first backpacking trip I was 15. My dad and I set out to do a section hike on the AT. We went from the Delaware Water Gap to Lehigh Gap. I remember running into a lot of thru hikers, and they all were pleasant and loved to talk of there great adventure. After that trip I always found hiking and backpacking to be fascinating.
It wasn’t until I was in my early 20s when going for a hike became so much more. I began purchasing gear and found hammock camping. It wasn’t long after that, without much of a plan, I set out on my second section hike. Once again I found myself at the Delaware Water Gap and I started hiking North and before you knew it I made it to Vermont. I met some great people and had a great experience just living out of the bag on my back. I still set out on smaller trips, mainly here in PA. Hiking most of the major trails in North East and central PA. I love sharing my adventures through my pictures and with my videos. I like to think I inspire some to just explore what is in their own backyard.
