What’s Your Place?

“You have to find that place that brings out the human in you. The soul in you. The love in you.”- R.M. Drake

I think we all have a place that immediately comes to mind with this quote. If not, I encourage you to find it, because it will tell you a lot about yourself. When you find it, you will feel it, a burning, exciting energy. You will feel like you will never catch your breath, no matter how many you take. Like God created this very place just for you. And when you’re away from it, back in your house or sitting at your desk, you can think back and remember every detail. The wind in your hair, the gritty sand in your mouth, the pounding of your heart. That’s your place.

It can be a mountain top vista, a log to sit on along a river, stream or lake. Whatever your place is, it’s yours and it’s the one thing no one can take from you.

We were meant to be outside. We were created in the outdoors.

Our careers, success and money will never and can never replace what creation can. Oh, we can try and we do, and we fail every time. So get outside and find your place. The place that brings out the human in you, the soul in you, and the love in you.

Remember, life is a journey we hike by faith and in that journey God has created a place for you. A place where life stops and nothing matters but that single moment of being still.

  1. I’d have to say that our Naturist club tends to bring out the human in me. It also brings out the nature lover in me too. I know its not what everyone will say but taking my clothes off in the countryside, brings me closer to nature and makes it seem what we were brought here for.
